EDMONTON ACTIVIST LITERATURE
This project has been in the works since December 2003. Since that time I have been contacting various activist groups in Edmonton and seeking their support in this website. In January 2004 I gave a presentation to the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedon (WILPF) and boosted my confidence in public speaking about this project. The Alberta Public Interest Research Group (APIRG) has been quite helpful in housing my drop-off box for pamphlets and for advertising Edmonton Activist Literature. Students for a Free Tibet: Edmonton Chapter was the first group to drop off a bundle of literature, and for that I am very thankful. In February 2004, I gave a presentation to Dr. Gary Kelly’s Graduate class about this database and found the experience both terrifying and helpful. Nick Driedger, Jessica Hawthorne, and Scott Harris have been very kind in lending me their personal collections of activist literature to display on this site. I am still looking for more ephemera and will continue to search, scan, and publish the literature as it comes in.
